The 6-Stage Process

Serial Number Verification
Every item is cross-referenced against the brand's official serial number database. Format, placement and encoding must match exactly. If the number doesn't match or is missing where it should be present, the piece is rejected — no exceptions.

Hardware & Stamp Inspection
Clasps, zippers, plaques and embossed stamps are examined under magnification. Hardware weight, plating quality, finish consistency and engraving depth are compared against verified brand references from authenticated pieces.

Material & Stitching Analysis
Leather grain, canvas texture, lining fabric and stitching density are checked against authenticated house standards. Stitch count per centimetre, thread colour and tension consistency are all examined. Any irregularity is grounds for rejection.

Date Code Authentication
Date codes tell us exactly when and where a piece was manufactured. We verify these against each brand's production timeline and coding system to confirm full consistency with the stated provenance of the piece.

Packaging & Documentation Review
Original dust bags, boxes, authenticity cards and receipts are documented where present. Absence of packaging is noted but is not disqualifying — authentication is based on the piece itself. Presence of matching packaging increases confidence rating.

Final Approval & Listing
Only items that pass every preceding stage are listed. A senior team member signs off on each piece individually. The listing is reviewed for accuracy of description, condition and imagery before it goes live.
